Our mission is to help people free their hearts and minds from stress and experience the freedom of the Buddha’s awakening.

Weekly Meditation Classes

Recurring classes combining meditation and supportive talks by our teachers are offered Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning, and are open to both beginners and experienced meditators.

Day Retreats & Workshops

Offering opportunities for more meditation than our weekly classes, and a fuller immersion into the traditional teachings of the Buddha, half-day or day-long workshops and retreats are offered once or twice per month.

Residential Retreats

On retreat, the refuge of quietude and simplicity create a foundation for sustained meditation, supported by a community of peers and the guidance of WIMC’s dharma teachers. Residential retreats are offered two to three times annually.

Meet our Teachers

WIMC classes and retreats are led by co-spiritual directors Chris Crotty and Michael Bresnan, as well as trained practice leaders, facilitators, and meditation instructors. Chris Crotty serves as WIMC’s Guiding Teacher, overseeing the functioning of the Center in addition to his role as teacher. Michael Bresnan serves as the Resident Teacher.
