Day Retreats & Workshops
Offering opportunities for more meditation than our weekly classes, and a fuller immersion into the traditional teachings of the Buddha, half-day or day-long workshops and retreats are offered once or twice per month.
-
Residential Retreats
On retreat, the refuge of quietude and simplicity create a foundation for sustained meditation, supported by a community of peers and the guidance of WIMC’s dharma teachers. Residential retreats are offered two to three times annually.
-
Kids & Teens Program
WIMC’s Kids & Teens program aims to develop compassion, attention, curiosity, and kindness through meditation and supportive activities, and meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month coinciding with the weekly morning meditation period for adults.
-
Dhamma Stewardship Program
WIMC offers dedicated students the opportunity to deepen their practice through its Dhamma Stewardship Program, whereby volunteers work closely with each other, staff, and WIMC teachers to sustain both the center and its many ‘dhamma activities’.
